Introducing Moodle Enhance

Moodle Enhance is a Inomed in collaboration with Arkana Forum initiative providing an upgrade Moodle to 4.1.16 version,  updated theme and template for Moodle. The initiative aims to implement a modern and clean aesthetic for all upcoming courses; With rollout already beginning, standardisation across courses will enable participants to navigate consistently between different courses.

The Key aims of Moodle Enhance project include:

  • Modern look and feel, branded under Inomed specifications

Starter Guide

This is the main navigation block where you can quickly access various areas of Moodle:

  1. Dashboard:
    • Brings you back to the main Dashboard page.
    • Displays important announcements, upcoming events, and your personalized activity timeline.
  2. My Courses:
    • Lists all the courses you’re enrolled in.
    • Click this to view the course names, access the content, or check course progress.
  3. Reports & Analytics:
    • Allows you to see course-specific reports or analytics if available.
    • Examples: Grades, activity completion, or time spent on different courses.
  4. My Certificates:
    • Displays any certificates you’ve earned from completed courses.
    • You can download your certificates from here.
  5. Contact & Support:

    Provides answers to frequently asked questions about Moodle, including how to log in, access courses, and resolve issues.

Located in the top-right corner, this is your personal menu. It helps you manage your account and preferences:

  1. Profile:
    • View and edit your personal details (e.g., name, email address, and profile picture).
    • Instructors and participants can also see your public profile information.
  2. Calendar:
    • Access your personal and course calendars to view deadlines, events, or scheduled activities.
    • You can also add your own events.
  3. Messages:
    • Opens the messaging system where you can communicate with instructors or other participants.
  4. Private Files:
    • Store your personal files in Moodle.
    • These files are only visible to you and can be uploaded into courses if needed.
  5. Reports:
    • View your individual activity or participation reports for your courses (if enabled by your instructor).
  6. Preferences:
    • Customize settings such as notification preferences, preferred language, and password changes.
  7. Language:
    • Switch between languages if multiple options are available on your site.
  8. Log Out:

    Use this to securely log out of Moodle when you’re done.

The sidebar or blocks both left and right can be collapsed so that participants can focus on the main section of the course and what matters most.

The left sidebar is now collapsible and exclusively designed to navigate with the course page with user of the course content heading. Participants can track their progress in this menu.

FAQ


Q1: How do I log in to Moodle?

  1. Go to your https://edu.inomed.com/ site’s login page.
  2. Enter your username/email and password.
  3. Click the "Log in" button.

 

Q2: I don't know my Moodle username/password.

  1. Click the "Forgotten your username or password?" link on the login page.
  2. Enter your registered email address or username.
  3. You will receive a password reset link in your email. Follow the instructions to reset your password.

 Important Notes:

Internal Participants (Inomed, Incu, and Arkana Teams): You cannot change your password within the Arkana platform. Use your Windows credentials to log in, as the system is synchronized with your organization's Windows authentication.

Q3: How do I change my Moodle password?

  1. After logging in, click your profile image in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Preferences" > "Change password."
  3. Enter your current password, then the new password twice.
  4. Save the changes.

 

Q4: How do I edit my profile?

  1. Click your profile image and select "Profile."
  2. Click "Edit profile."
  3. Update your details (e.g., email, profile picture).
  4. Save changes.

 

Q5: What’s included in your Moodle Dashboard?

Your Dashboard displays:

  • An overview of all enrolled courses.
  • Upcoming events and deadlines.
  • Course progress tracking.
  • Quick access to grades, calendar, and messages.

 

Q6: Where can I find My Courses?

Your courses appear under the "My Courses" tab in the Dashboard. Click on any course to access it.


Q7: Where can I find my certificates?

You can find your certificates in the "My Certificates" section on your Moodle Dashboard. Navigate to this section to view and download your certificates. If you encounter any issues, contact us for assistance.

Q1: How do I enroll in a Moodle course?

The course will automatically appear under the "My Courses" section in your Moodle Dashboard.

For special enrollment requests or if the course does not appear, the admin/manager will manually enroll you. Please contact us for assistance.

  

Q2: How do I switch between my courses?

  1. From your Dashboard, click the "My Courses" tab.
  2. Alternatively, use the “Course Overview” block to quickly switch courses.

 

Q3: How long do I have access to my courses?

You will have access to your courses for 6 months from the date of enrollment. After this period, the course will no longer be accessible unless extended by the administrator. For assistance or special requests, please contact e-learning@arkana-forum.com.

 

Q4: How can I view my reports?

  1. Go to the course and click on "Reports & Analytics" in the navigation menu.
  2. Access reports like activity logs, grades, or participation summaries.

How to send a message to other participants in a course?

  1. Go to "Participants" in your course.
  2. Click the name of the person you want to message.
  3. Select "Send a message" from their profile.

 

Why am I not getting forum notifications? or How can I stop receiving email notifications from Moodle?

  1. Check if you're subscribed to the forum by opening the forum and verifying the subscription status.
  2. Ensure your email address in your profile is correct.
  3. Verify your notification preferences in "Preferences" > "Notification preferences."
